This was my second steel mask after seeing the samurai armor at the Met. The facial armor is designed less for protection than to intimidate. The image should be frightening, aggressive, powerful. This guy obviously falls short on all counts. I find him interesting nonetheless. Now that I think of it, I don't think I have ever been able to portray aggression in a mask. Hmm...
