The weatherman decides every day what the weather will be and then he
makes it do that.
He’s magic. He lives up in the sky.
Maybe he lives next to Santa Claus, but no, because he makes the sunshine
too, not just the snow, so he can’t live at the north pole. When
he decides what kind of weather we’ll have, he goes to the thinkful place
in his mind and thinks of what kind of weather to make, and in the spring
and the fall and the winter he makes the sun shine if that’s what he thinks.

Be sure to plant Buttercups when planting potatos.
They'll come up already buttered.

**10/21/00 - Today we harvested the potatoes that Dakota planted with
Buttercup petals. We got two large buckets full of plump potatoes that were a
deep gold in color. Dakota immediately asserted that the lovely gold color was
from the buttercup petals. After cleaning, nothing would do but to have some of
them for dinner, so we baked several which were consumed with great gusto. All agreed that they were, if fact,
exceptionally buttery and fine so it may be that this maxim has some merit
Christopher Columbus did a good thing.
A long time ago Asia and some other place, I forget what (Europe we ask?); yeah,
Europe, that's it. Asia and Europe had too many people, more than a thousand and they got to squishy.
He found new land.
Now if we need to get safe (refrencing the events of 9.11.01) we can all move to
Antartica but if too many people move there it will get too squishy too. And even if it's cold there we can bundle up.
